What the 2003-2004 Marauder is
Production ran from May 2002 to June 25, 2004 at the St. Thomas Assembly Plant in Ontario. The car sits on Ford's Panther platform, and Wikipedia lists the Grand Marquis, Crown Victoria and Town Car as related. Power came from a 302 hp 4.6-liter DOHC V8, with the 4R70W 4-speed automatic listed for 2003.
The Marauder name had two earlier runs on full-size Mercurys, 1963-1965 and 1969-1970. This page covers only the 2003-2004 cars, the years in the EPA's data. After 2004 Mercury dropped it with no direct replacement.
