Selling a dead or junk Chrysler
Yes, you can sell a broken Chrysler without fixing anything. We buy whole non-running and junk cars. Sell the whole car as it sits, from a 1984 Laser to a late-model Pacifica, and the truck meets it wherever it is parked.

A century-old name that now sells two minivans
Walter Chrysler founded the company on June 6, 1925. Wikipedia's Chrysler article lists Maxwell-Chalmers (1913-1925) among the companies that came before it. Over the decades the group also ran marques that are now gone, including Plymouth (1928-2001) and DeSoto (1928-61).
Ownership changed three times in a little over ten years. The company was Chrysler Group LLC from 2009 to 2014, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles from 2014 to 2021, and has been part of Stellantis since 2021.
The EPA's fuel economy list tells the story of the lineup. It holds 17 Chrysler nameplates from 1984 on. Sedans and coupes made up most of them: the LeBaron, New Yorker, Concorde, Cirrus, Sebring, LHS, 300 and 200. The 300 is the last of those, with its final EPA year in 2023. For 2026 only two Chryslers are listed, the Pacifica and the Voyager, and both are minivans.
Which Chryslers draw the most complaints
We counted every complaint owners filed with NHTSA for each Chrysler model, as of October 10, 2026: 46,659 across all 17. A complaint is an owner's report to the federal safety agency. It is not a confirmed failure, and the totals are not a reliability rating.
| Model | EPA years | NHTSA complaints |
|---|---|---|
| Town and Country | 1984-2016 | 13,820 |
| Pacifica | 2004-2027 | 7,678 |
| 300 | 1999-2023 | 7,151 |
| 200 | 2011-2017 | 4,222 |
| Sebring | 1995-2010 | 3,877 |
| Concorde | 1993-2004 | 2,916 |
| PT Cruiser | 2001-2010 | 2,623 |
Three things stand out in those numbers.
- Minivans carry nearly half the load. The Town and Country, Pacifica and Voyager together account for 21,539 of the 46,659 complaints. The Town and Country alone is close to three in ten.
- The 200 piles up fast. It covers only seven model years, 2011 to 2017, yet it has more complaints than the Sebring's sixteen.
- Small totals at both ends. The 1980s Laser (8) and Conquest (6) have barely any complaints on file. The Voyager (41) only goes back to 2020, so its owners have had just a few years to send reports in, against decades for a Town and Country.
Selling a Chrysler that won't go
An aging Sebring or a Town and Country with a worn-out odometer can reach the point where one more repair outweighs the car. Then the whole car can go as one sale, parts and all. Have the title in your name if you can. If it is lost, start with selling a junk car with no title.
Leave the car in one piece. Keep the Chrysler's battery, wheels and catalytic converter in place.
- Have the year, model and rough mileage.
- Let us know if it starts and rolls, and list any damage or missing parts.
- Tell us where the Chrysler is parked, down to the street, so the truck can find it.
Pickup is free anywhere in the US. Once it is gone, take care of the plates and paperwork. Our guide to selling a car that doesn't run covers the rest.

All 17 Chrysler models
Years are model years in the EPA list. Recent years are not complete yet. A model whose run ends in 2026 or 2027 may still be sold new. Complaints are NHTSA totals as of October 10, 2026.

Questions people ask
- Do you buy old Chryslers that have not run in years?
- Yes. We buy whole non-running and junk cars, whether it is a 1980s LeBaron or a minivan that quit last week. Sell the whole car as it sits, with free pickup anywhere in the US.
- Why does the Town and Country have so many more complaints than other Chryslers?
- Mostly time and numbers. It is in the EPA list for 33 model years, 1984 to 2016, longer than any other Chrysler, and a model that sells for decades collects more complaints. Each complaint is just an owner's report to NHTSA. It does not prove a part failed.
- Is the Voyager's low complaint count a sign it is better?
- Not by itself. The Voyager dates from 2020, so a 2024 Voyager has been reported on for a couple of years while a 2005 Town and Country has had two decades. Compare cars of similar age, not raw totals.
- Who owns Chrysler now?
- Stellantis, since 2021. Before that the company was Fiat Chrysler Automobiles from 2014 to 2021 and Chrysler Group LLC from 2009 to 2014, according to Wikipedia's Chrysler article.
