The R2 in brief
Wikipedia lists the R2 as a mid-size SUV on Rivian's Midsize Platform, with an 87.9 kWh NMC battery from LGES and a 115.6-inch wheelbase. Buyers pick a rear-motor, rear-drive layout or a dual-motor setup that powers all four corners. The EPA lists two 2027 versions so far: R2 Performance AWD on 20-inch all-terrain or 21-inch wheels.

The R2-only recall is 26V625. A high voltage battery fastener may not have been tightened right, which can cut drive power. It covers 14 vehicles. Rivian inspects and repairs the connection, or replaces damaged parts, free of charge.
The other is 26V597, a software message that can block the reverse camera view. It is an over-the-air fix. Its 98,828 vehicles are a whole-campaign count shared with the R1S and R1T, so that number is not the R2's alone.
Fix it or sell it?
With an R2 this young, start with two free checks. Put the VIN into NHTSA's recall page, and ask Rivian what its warranty covers. Both R2 recall remedies are free of charge.
Selling makes sense when the damage is outside both, such as a crash or flood. If an insurer is involved, see wrecked or totaled. Financed? Still owe on the loan walks through paying off the lender at the sale.

- Have the VIN, mileage and damage ready, and say whether it powers on and rolls.
