Selling a wrecked or dead Audi Q6 e-tron

Nearly every complaint on file for the Q6 e-tron is on its first model year: 38 of 41 are on the 2025, and 18 of those 38 name the electrical system. The 2026 and 2027 have had very little time to collect complaints, so treat their low counts as early, not as a clean bill.

What it is

Wikipedia describes the Q6 e-tron as a battery-electric compact luxury SUV built in Ingolstadt since November 2023. It rides on the PPE platform it shares with the Porsche Macan II and the A6 e-tron. Batteries are 83 or 100 kWh from CATL, with a single-speed transmission and rear- or dual-motor layouts.

The 2025: electrical complaints and three recalls

After electrical, owners of the 2025 name forward collision avoidance (4) and service brakes (2). One complaint describes a crash and two report injuries. All three recalls fall on this year:

  • 25V225: the rearview camera may show a blurry image. Dealers replace it and check the surround-view cameras. 313 vehicles, including the SQ6.
  • 25V226: the rearview image may be delayed or shut off after shifting into reverse. Dealers update the camera control software. 98 vehicles.
  • 25V899: covers the automatic locking on the rear seat belts; dealers inspect the left and right rear belts and replace them as needed. 27,768 vehicles, a count that covers the A5, A6, S5 and other Audis, not only the Q6.

Repair or sell?

With a 2025-2027, the dealer is the first stop. Look up the VIN through NHTSA's recall search, then ask the service desk what coverage applies. If the pack or charging system has failed, our EV battery guide helps you weigh it. After a crash, see wrecked or totaled.

Questions people ask

What are the Audi Q6 e-tron recalls?
Three, all on the 2025. Two cover the rearview camera: 25V225 for a blurry image and 25V226 for an image that is delayed or shuts off after shifting into reverse. The third, 25V899, covers the rear seat belts' automatic locking. It spans 27,768 vehicles across several Audi models.
Why does the 2025 have almost all the complaints?
It has been on the road longest. Owners of a 2026 or 2027 have had only months to report anything, so those tiny numbers are an early read at best.
Will you buy a Q6 e-tron after a crash?
Yes. We buy whole non-running and junk cars, with free pickup anywhere in the US.
