Selling a damaged Lucid Gravity

A short history so far

Lucid opened Gravity orders on November 7, 2024, and the first production unit came off the line at Casa Grande, Arizona, on December 5, 2024, according to Wikipedia's Lucid Motors article. Lucid also does final assembly in Saudi Arabia for the Saudi market, using parts shipped from Casa Grande.

Wikipedia describes the Gravity as a mid-size luxury crossover SUV offered with rear-motor, dual-motor or tri-motor layouts. It lists battery options of 88, 93, 112 or 118 kWh. The EPA lists it for 2025, 2026 and 2027.

The three recalls

• 26V192000 (2025-2026, 4,476 vehicles): second-row lap belt anchor brackets may have weak welds. Lucid will inspect, then repair or replace the seats.
• 26V018000 (2025-2026, 3,900 vehicles): with software older than 3.3.20, the rearview camera image may not appear in reverse. Lucid pushes the cure as a no-cost software download.
• 25V855000 (2026, 66 vehicles): the wrong backrest covers may be on the front seats, which can keep the side air bags from deploying correctly.

Each figure in parentheses counts every SUV in that campaign.

Owner complaints by model year

NHTSA's file held 15 owner complaints on the Gravity on October 10, 2026. With the first SUVs built in December 2024, that is a short window, so treat the numbers as early notes, not a score. None mention a crash or a fire, and one reports an injury.

Fix it first, or sell it?

On a Gravity this new, the first move is a VIN search at NHTSA. Every remedy above is free. 26V192000 matters if you carry passengers in the second row, and 25V855000 concerns the front seats' side air bags.

Selling a Gravity whole

1. Note the VIN, the odometer reading and every dent or fault, plus any warnings on the screen.
2. Get an offer online, or call (877) 421-6008.
3. Describe its spot, from a home garage to a collision center's back lot, and whether all four wheels roll, so the right tow rig shows up.
4. Sell the whole car as it sits. Don't pull wheels or seats first.
