What the 2027 iX3 is
Wikipedia describes the iX3 as a battery electric compact luxury crossover SUV on BMW's Neue Klasse platform. Production began in October 2025, at Debrecen in Hungary and Dadong in China. It replaced the earlier G08 iX3, which is the car in the photo above.
Wikipedia lists two layouts: rear-motor, rear-wheel drive (iX3 40 and 30L) and dual-motor, all-wheel drive (iX3 50 xDrive and others). The EPA file lists only the iX3 50 xDrive, in five versions that differ by tires: 20-inch all-season or summer, 21-inch all-season or summer, and 22-inch summer. Battery packs across the range run from a 77 kWh LFP pack from CATL to a 108.7 kWh NMC pack from EVE Energy.

On an EV this new, the money questions usually come before the repair ones.
- Insurer involved? If it was totaled, see insurer totaled it. If you were paid and want to skip the repair, read keep the check, sell unrepaired.

- Get an offer online, or call (877) 421-6008.
- Mention the wheel size (20, 21 or 22 inch) and whether it can be pushed, so the right truck gets sent. Pickup is free anywhere in the US.
- Keep it whole. The wheels and charging cable should stay with it, and let us know if something is missing.
- At pickup, bring your ID and either the title or your lender's payoff details. After you sell covers plates and paperwork by state.

- No, not on October 10, 2026. NHTSA shows zero recall campaigns and zero owner complaints for the 2027 iX3. Campaigns can be added at any time, so run the VIN on nhtsa.gov/recalls before the sale.

- No. The photo shows the earlier G08 iX3. Wikipedia lists the G08 as the predecessor of the Neue Klasse iX3, which went into production in October 2025.
